On September 29 Patrick Halka, a Master student of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) conducted an interactive lecture in German for the learners of German as a foreign language on the system of higher education in Germany on the example of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. The lecturer is currently a tutor of the additional educational program DSG «Management and monitoring of the environment" being realized in Altai State University. Mr. Halka presented to the audience the information about the city of Halle-Wittenberg where the university campus is.
The lecturer also focused on the amazing history of the city, its sights and significant places. Having working experience in the system of higher education in Russia, Mr. Halka made an interesting comparative analysis of the two systems of higher education, i.e. German and Russian ones. The other discussed topics dealt with different aspects of student life such as accommodation facilities, tuition fees, forms of assessment, grounds for expulsion and so forth. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. Numerous questions to the lecturer showcased the interest to the topic under discussion and the fact that students all over the world are concerned about the same issues.
